Coffee & Connections with Provost Hu

 

S. Jack Hu, senior vice president for academic affairs and provost, invites campus faculty and staff for Coffee and Connections, an informal networking event that invites attendees to build connections with UGA leadership and each other. The final event planned for this semester will take place on Thursday, November 9 from 8:30 to 10 a.m at the Delta Innovation Hub. Please register if you plan to participate.

Franklin DAR Liaison Structure

 

Franklin College's DAR office has unveiled a new liaison structure. Major gift officers will continue to raise funds across the college, but will also represent dedicated divisions and departments. Each liaison will update funding priorities for each department and partner with heads and directors to guide strategy and engagement throughout the year. Questions? Email Meredith Metcalf.

Career Center Unveils Photo Booth

 

The UGA Career Center has unveiled its new Professional Photo Booth as a free resource for students, faculty, staff and alumni to have headshots taken. This new offering helps to address the critical need for accessible professional photos, enabling all members of the UGA community to build a stronger personal brand toward their career pursuits.

 
 
 

University Programming for All Staff

 

LEAD AT 3

This series focuses on women’s leadership in higher education and beyond. Each semester, three women are invited to share three insights on leadership at 3 o’clock p.m. The remaining fall speakers are:

SUPERVISORY FUNDAMENTALS (NEW!)

Are you a new supervisor or want to freshen up your management skills? Enroll in the redesigned Supervisory Fundamentals course to help grow your skills as a manager at UGA. During two days of instruction and discussion with fellow supervisors, participants will learn the ins and outs of employment and managing people in order to successfully fulfill your important role as manager. COFFEE CHATS

Fall Commencement Speakers

 

Harold Alonza Black (BBA '66), emeritus professor of finance at the University of Tennessee, will deliver UGA's fall undergraduate Commencement address on Dec. 15. Dale Greene, who has served as the dean of UGA’s Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources since 2015, will deliver the address at the graduate ceremony. Read more.

Call for Football-Adjacent Events + Content

 

DARCOMM sends alumni and fans to alumni.uga.edu/football throughout the season to learn more about game-watching parties, game logistics, and interesting news and stories related to football. They’d like to ensure any football-adjacent events and stories/profiles are added from schools and colleges, too!
