Fundraising update, One Big Question, and more!

Georgia Women Give

Happy 2024, y’all!

Georgia Women Give experienced a monumental year in 2023, and I have a feeling this year is going to be even greater. Maybe part of my excitement comes from our upcoming spring event being just two months away, but most of it comes from knowing that our little group is already making an impact — and we’ll see much more of that impact in 2024.

Fundraising Update

I’m thrilled that we have now crossed the century mark for founding donors. To say that I’m stunned would be an understatement. We set what we thought was an ambitious goal of 50 founding donors for our first year, and we’ve doubled that. I’m in awe, and I’m honored to be a part of this amazing group.

So much of this success is thanks to you and your shared ownership of Georgia Women Give. Let’s keep growing in community and impact!

One Big Question

The start of a new year inspired our new One Big Question:

New Year’s Resolutions are famously difficult to stick to. How do you set and attain achievable, long-term goals?

Stories from Campus

  • UGA ranks top 10 in nation for study abroad participation
    • This is especially exciting to read knowing that we are playing a part in helping UGA students participate in these formative experiences.
  • Jill Walton named UGA VP for development and alumni relations
    • The news has been out for a little while now, but we just want to again congratulate Jill, who’s been a champion for this group, on her new role!
  • UGA’s Mariah Cady named a 2024 Rhodes Scholar
    • UGA is the only school in the SEC and one of only five public universities in the U.S., in addition to the nation’s service academies, to have a Rhodes recipient this year.

I’ve said it already, but I am so excited to see many of you in just a few short months for our second annual spring event. I hope your 2024 gets off to a fabulous start!

Go Dawgs!
