In 2023, 6,008 undergraduate students became UGA alumni. Excluding donated or second-hand regalia, the graduating student body spent $372,496 on regalia. The cost of gowns alone totaled $210,280!
Odum School of Ecology Student Ambassadors are committed to sustainability and affordability by launching Reduce, Reuse Regalia to loan graduation gowns to all Odum School of Ecology graduates beginning in Spring 2024... free of charge!
Join our students and create a closed-loop system that saves students money and reduces the number of new garments purchased and discarded.
How can you help?
We ask that YOU (yes, you!) donate your undergraduate graduation gown today. Drop it off at the front office of the Ecology Building or ship it to us at the following address:
Odum School of Ecology Reduce Reuse Regalia
140 E. Green St. Athens, GA 30602
Place your gown in the mail by Friday, December 1st so Odum School Student Ambassadors can estimate how many gowns will need to be purchased to make their project a reality.
Please direct questions to Odum School faculty member Alli Injaian at inja@uga.edu.
The University of Georgia Foundation is registered to solicit in every state and provides state-specific registration information at http://www.ugafoundation.org/charity.
