Dear Family & Friends of the College of Pharmacy: “I have a question,” is often music to the ears of a faculty member. It indicates a spirit of inquisitiveness and curiosity on the part of a learner. The pursuit of discovery is the “stuff” that successful students are made of – and what leads them to a promising future in their chosen career. Our ultimate goal is to foster this spirit in our students and trainees, as we ourselves are constantly in pursuit of knowledge that will enhance the conduct of our science, the care of our patients, and the methods we use to measure our impact in the classrooms, in the laboratories, and in the communities where we live and serve.
We delve into our own spirit of inquisitiveness and curiosity in this issue of UGA Script by highlighting not only what we do at the UGA College of Pharmacy, but how we stoke that passion for the discovery of knowledge in our future colleagues. May we always be inquiring, always be curious, and always be learning. |
