  • ACTION: Please remind your units to complete the New Performance Management Process Training by December 15. 
  • ACTION: Please continue to stay on top of "reports to" updates in the system to ensure managers receive the correct performance reviews to complete.
  • NEXT STEP: The new classification structure will be shared with units to begin their review at the end of December before the holiday break.

Reports To

Remember to Verify "Reports To" Data is correct and check and make corrections as soon as possible. The "Reports To" manager is the individual who will complete the annual performance evaluation review in PEP. You will find a step-by-step resource in the Updating Supervisor Information Knowledge Base article.  

 

Please continue to keep this up to date as we approach January 1st. This information takes 3-4 days to update in PEP after the initial update in UGA Jobs.  Correcting missing or incorrect managers after January 1 will require a ticket through hrweb@uga.edu and may delay evaluations. Contact journeys@uga.edu with questions about the new performance review process.  

 

New Performance Management Process Training 

With the launch of the new online Performance Evaluation process in January 2025, UGA is requiring that all staff who are evaluation-eligible employees complete the mandatory course: Intro to UGA’s New Performance Process. This brief course will highlight the changes associated with this new process.   
 

Intro to UGA’s New Performance Process must be completed by December 15, 2024. Employees will not be able to view their completed Performance Evaluations in PEP if this course is not credited.   

 

Introducing optional Professional Development Plans

Beginning in January 2025, the Journey’s team is pleased to launch a new optional PEP feature: Professional Development Plans. Professional Development Plans (PDPs) allow employees and managers to set professional goals for the coming year. Plans can be created ad hoc, or with a template. An employee can have multiple PDPs, perhaps one for their current role and one that focuses on future aspirations. However, Managers can designate which plan is the employee’s primary plan. “Get to Know the New Performance Tool for Supervisors” 

In this training, supervisors will learn the technical aspects of the performance evaluation tool. In this course, you explore the Manager Dashboard, navigate to the evaluation tool and complete a practice evaluation for your direct report(s). This course will detail all of the functional aspects of the evaluation process. Since this course is interactive and requires person-specific setup, registration closes one week before the session date. No substitutions of personnel are allowed.

Time: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM (Zoom) 
Note: THIS SESSION REQUIRES INTERNET CONNECTIVITY AND TWO MONITORS
