The Stew: News for Stewardship Professionals

June 15, 2022

Hello Stewies! June is a month to celebrate pride, diversity, and inclusion. It’s a time for people to come together in love and friendship. It’s a time for being proud of who we are, remembering the struggle of those before us, and honoring the bravery of trailblazers who stood up for equality. Equality starts with the idea that there is no norm; instead, every individual is unique. As donor relations professionals, we must continue to celebrate the generosity of the Bulldog family and tell their stories until every individual, every donor, and every alumnus feels safe to be their true, authentic self–regardless of gender, age, religion, race, ethnicity, disability, or who they happen to love.

I say with great pride that Team Stewardship’s community embodies these values. This group was designed to be inclusive and supportive of the beautiful diversity of thought at UGA. Thank you for being part of this wonderfully caring team. As we near the end of this milestone fundraising year, let’s celebrate dollars raised and the role that you played in sustaining donors. Without donor relations, breaking records is not possible. And at the end of the day, let’s never forget to celebrate each other.
