Born and raised in Griffin, Georgia and a graduate of Georgia Southern College, Sally Boyd is one of the College’s strongest supporters. She is a valued partner that has provided support in honor of her mother and father, by establishing the Sara and Dan Boyd Study Abroad Scholarship Fund as well as the Sara and Dan Boyd Professorship. She also supported the Building Terry campaign and named the Boyd Conference Room in Moore-Rooker Hall of the Business Learning Community. Her father, Dan Boyd
(BBA '48) a retired Naval officer and successful businessman was a proud graduate of the University of Georgia and loyal bulldog fan. Sally’s parents, Sara and Dan, were active members of the United Methodist Church of Griffin. Sally’s support and love of UGA makes her an honorary bulldog and we are honored by her partnership. She greatly values education and the impact that it has for current and future generations across the nation and internationally. The Terry College is grateful to have the Boyd family name so strongly associated with educational excellence and recognized within the Business Learning Community.

GOOD BUSINESS IS GLOBAL BUSINESS |
|
|
The Executive MBA cohort recently participated in an international residency in Japan. This allowed participants to learn more about Japanese business practices and culture as they met with companies such as Panasonic, Kato USA, Precision Railroad Models, and Kyoto Obubu Tea Farms. As our global economy becomes more interdependent, it is becoming even more important to have a deeper understanding of worldwide business trends and emerging market dynamics. The cohort learned more about cultural intelligence and its importance through meeting business leaders from diverse industries.
The Executive MBA program is ranked No.1 in Georgia by Fortune, and to stay at the top, exposure to international business is crucial to their overall student experience. Support for study abroad programs like this is a top priority for Terry College and would not be possible without the generosity of our alumni and corporate partners. Individuals can contribute to the Terry College Study Abroad Scholarship Fund to increase participation and provide Terry students with unique learning opportunities that offer a life-long impact.
