A MENTORSHIP MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN |
|
|
Keith Marshall (BBA '15) and Izabella Silverman
(BBA '24) are a match made in heaven. Marshall is Co-Founder and CEO of The Players’ Lounge, a platform built to empower relationships within the collegiate sports community. Silverman has always known she wanted to work in sports, but wasn’t sure doing what exactly. Marshall and Silverman were paired as mentor and mentee through the Terry College’s Young Alumni Board and Student Philanthropy Council mentorship program. With Marshall’s help and guidance, Silverman landed a role in the same Name, Image and Likeness industry as Marshall. Silverman will start her role as Name, Image and Likeness Coordinator for UGA Athletics on July 1. Although they do not speak often, Marshall and Silverman always pick up where they left off and continue to be a resource to each other. Have a mentorship success story to share? Click here.

Since his graduation from Terry in 1971, Ron Franklin has been working his way up in the hospitality industry. With his bachelor’s degree in marketing, he spent many years with Marriott International before partnering in the creation of his own company, Pinnacle Hotel Management.
Throughout his career, Ron has supported his alma mater in many important ways. Early on, he established a plan and specific philanthropic priorities with the goal of becoming a major supporter of the University of Georgia and the Terry College of Business. With the establishment of a Georgia Commitment Scholarship and, more recently, a professorship, Ron continues to fulfill this goal.
Because he reached a milestone in his giving to the Terry College, Ron will be inducted into the college’s Pinnacle Society this fall. The Pinnacle Society was established in 2000 to recognize those dedicated alumni and friends whose cumulative individual lifetime giving to Terry totals $1 million or more. The Terry College is grateful for Ron’s dedication to the next generation of Terry College students, and we appreciate his investment in their education! |
