Provides investigators with advanced spatial multiomics and high-plex imaging platforms. Supports high-resolution, subcellular analysis of thousands of RNA transcripts and hundreds of proteins within their precise tissue context, alongside high-throughput multi-channel fluorescence imaging. The College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and the College of Veterinary Medicine invite graduate students and postdoctoral trainees to apply for pilot research funding of up to $10,000 per project. We are seeking bold, cross-disciplinary ideas that bridge agriculture and veterinary medicine and push beyond current thesis or laboratory work. Applications from individuals or small collaborative teams (2–3 trainees) are encouraged, particularly those spanning disciplines, species, or innovative new directions.

Research Security and Exports Control announces Baker Logistics as new customs broker
UGA Research Security and Exports Control has announced that Baker Logistics has been selected as the university's new customs broker, effective immediately. Baker Logistics will support all import- and export-related clearance activities, ensuring timely processing, improved communication, and full compliance with U.S. customs and international trade regulations. Researchers should begin routing any customs-related inquiries, documentation, or shipment details to Baker Logistics. For questions or information, contact uga@bakerlcs.com.
Research Security Training Requirement available in PEP
All researchers and senior/key personnel involved in federally funded research must complete Research Security Training through PEP before participating in applicable sponsored research activities. The training covers federal requirements related to foreign collaborations, conflicts of interest and commitment, disclosure obligations, and other research security topics. U.S.-India Trust Fellowship - Information Session
UGA faculty and staff are invited to attend a webinar hosted by the Indian Institute of Technology Madras that will dive into the U.S.-India TRUST Fellowship, a prestigious 12-month program for postdoctoral researchers and early-career faculty from leading U.S. institutions. The session will provide an overview of the fellowship, its objectives, eligibility criteria, application process, and opportunities for collaboration. The webinar will be held Wednesday, June 17, at 10:30 a.m.

Alpha-gal syndrome, a tick-borne allergy to red meat, is an increasing public health concern across the country. Researchers at UGA’s Complex Carbohydrate Research Center are working to understand how tick bites trigger the condition and why only some people develop it. As cases continue to rise, scientists are exploring ways to improve diagnosis, prevention, and future treatments while emphasizing the importance of avoiding tick bites. Read the full story.
