Stallknecht to receive the Dedication Award from the 11th International Symposium on Avian Influenza

Emeritus Professor David Stallknecht will receive the Dedication Award at the 11th International Symposium on Avian Influenza in St John’s Newfoundland, Canada, on June 26. The award recognizes career contributions to the understanding of avian influenza pathobiology and ecology in wild birds.

Rosemond named Fellow of the Society for Freshwater Science

Amy Rosemond, UGA Foundation Professor and Distinguished Research Professor, was named a 2025 Fellow of the Society for Freshwater Science. Recognized for her leadership in research, policy, and mentoring, she was honored at the SFS Annual Meeting in San Juan, Puerto Rico, for advancing freshwater science and diversity.
