Alumni Spotlights

Solomon Hughes

Like a skilled big man making moves in the post, Solomon Hughes’ (PHD '13) career has been all about a well-timed pivot. From pro-baller to academic to actor in an Emmy-nominated HBO series Hughes has done it all.

Meet Solomon Hughes
Jordan Anderson

Before she started booking acts there, Jordan Anderson (AB '13) had never stepped inside the Troubadour in West Hollywood. But like every music industry professional—and millions of music fans around the world—she knew its reputation.

Meet Jordan Anderson
  • As COO of the University of Virginia Medical Center, Min Lee (BBA '06) knows that a successful health care system is all about the people.
  • Everyone who works at the UGA Visitors Center calls it “the happiest place on campus,” and a big reason for that can be attributed to Eric Johnson (ABJ ‘86).
  • For Michelle Samuel-Foo (MS '03, PHD '08), the quest for “more” has its roots in the agricultural fields of her Caribbean home.
  • What is music to Josh Sandler (BBA '09)'s ears? The sweet sound of logistics—that virtual flow to the cloud showing cargo moving efficiently through sub-Saharhan Africa.
Meet Monica Padman

Our very own Armchair Expert

Monica Padman (ABJ ‘09, AB ‘09) has interviewed the likes of Matt Damon, Kristen Bell, and former president Barack Obama. Her advice? Say 'yes' to everything. Her journey from UGA to co-hosting and producing the Armchair Expert Podcast showcases where saying 'yes' can lead.
