85th annual Peabody Awards winners announced

The Peabody Awards Board of Jurors announced the winners selected to represent the most captivating and inspiring stories released in broadcasting and streaming media during 2024. The winners were chosen by a unanimous vote of 27 jurors from over 1,000 entries from television, podcasts/radio and the web in entertainment, news, documentary, arts, children’s/youth, public service and interactive/immersive programming and media.

Alumni  and friends celebrated at Grady Salutes

It was a beautiful day on the Schnitzer Media Family Lawn as more than 160 guests celebrated the 2025 Alumni Award winners and Grady Fellowship inductees during the annual Grady Salutes on April 25. 

Backlight Film Festival celebrates fourth year

Founded in 2021, Backlight Student Film Festival is a two-day student short film festival that takes place every spring at UGA. What began as a student project evolved into a nonprofit organization complete with a board of directors, sponsors and participation from around the state.
