Distinguished Alumni Scholar Award — Heidi Hennink-Kaminksi (PhD ’06), College of Communication Arts and Sciences, Michigan State University

Alumni Award recipients will be recognized at the College’s annual recognition event, Grady Salutes: A Celebration of Achievement, Leadership and Commitment, on Friday, April 25.

Alumni and friends will be inducted into the Grady Fellowship during Grady Salutes on Friday, April 25. The Grady Fellowship honors friends of the college whose accomplishments, friendship and service to their industries have made a positive impact on Grady College. This year's inductees are:

Malena Cunningham Anderson (ABJ ’80) - Newslady Productions

David Chandley (ABJ ’84) - FOX 5 Atlanta

Sanders Hickey - Golden Isle Broadcasting, LLC

Parker Middleton (Ph.D. ’00, MFA ’21)

The 2025 recipient of the John Holliman Lifetime Achievement Alumni Award, Eric Baker (ABJ '90), will also be inducted into the Fellowship.

Dawg Day of Giving is March 27

Dawg Day of Giving is a 24-hour, worldwide event to improve the lives of our students and build tomorrow’s UGA.

Your gift strengthens the student experience by empowering our students, removing financial barriers, supporting experiential learning opportunities and providing accessible and current technology and equipment needs.

Help us turn one day of giving into a lifetime of opportunities for our students by donating any amount to the Dean's Excellence Fund.

Host an intern this summer

We will once again have students in Chicago, DC, LA and NYC as part of our domestic field studies programs. This is valuable opportunity for students to get to know a city while taking part in an internship in their field.

If you are interested in hosting an intern June 2 -  July 25, specifics about each program and faculty contact information are below.

Chicago – 12 students will stay at Loyola-Chicago and are seeking internships in advertising, public relations and journalism. Staff contact: Samantha Meyer, sam610.uga.edu.

DC – 11 students will stay at Delta Hall and are seeking internships in public relations and journalism. Faculty contact: Joe Watson, joseph.watson@uga.edu.

LA – 24 Entertainment and Media Studies students will be living in Hollywood and are looking for internships in Hollywood/West Hollywood/Beverly Hills/Century City area. Faculty contact: Laurena Bernabo, laurena.bernabo@uga.edu.

NYC – 12 students will stay at NYU and are seeking internships in advertising, public relations and journalism. Faculty contact: Lance Porter, lance.porter@uga.edu.
