An Unexpected Meetup: Mentor and Mentee Reconnect a Year Later |
During a summer internship with Conagra Brands, Aria Morrill (UGA mentee and UGA Mentor Program ambassador) attended the Institute of Food Technologists conference, where she unexpectedly ran into her UGA mentor from Summer 2021, Trey Sanders (BSFCS '09, MS '11). This marked the first time they met in person, and they spent over an hour catching up. Aria said, "Feeling accepted and appreciated in my chosen field, especially as a student at a professional conference, inspires me to work harder to meet my goals and share the power of mentorship with other students. I'm always saying how much this program has changed my life, and I truly mean it."

Advice from UGA Mentor Program Ambassadors |
| "When deciding if you should do something, do it. If you’re wrong, you learn something; if you’re right, you learn something, too. Joining this program is so worth it! My mentors have helped me look at things from different perspectives and focus on ways I could develop myself and my skills."
-Pranjal Jariwala, UGA Mentor Program Ambassador and Director of the Professional Development and Internal Relations Committee |
"My favorite thing about the program is the opportunity to form relationships with different mentors which allows you to learn more things. One piece of advice: you should just go for it! Your mentors have more advice than you would think and can help orient you." -Elise Lodde, UGA Mentor Program Ambassador |
