The 2025-26 academic year at the University of Georgia School of Law is underway! We have welcomed our 2Ls and 3Ls back to Athens, and introduced a new group of eager J.D., LL.M. and M.S.L. students to the beauty of North Campus. Earlier this month, I had the joy of returning to the classroom to teach our Summer Academic Success Program. Our mission remained firmly in my mind as I launched these students on their law school journey: preparing well-rounded graduates who will succeed and thrive as future leaders for our state and society. 

Approximately two weeks ago, the School of Law launched a new admissions pathway for prospective students who earn a bachelor’s degree from University System of Georgia institutions. Starting with the fall 2026 admissions cycle, students with qualifying academic credentials (including a minimum undergraduate standardized test score) can apply without taking the LSAT or GRE. As the state’s flagship law school, we are proud to offer this new avenue for a quality legal education.
