New alumni celebrated

More than 400 spring and summer graduates were celebrated on Friday, May 13.

The day started with the debut of a virtual ceremony featuring Eric Baker (ABJ '80) and Delaney Tarr (AB '22) and continued with a celebration on the lawn, including an opportunity for students to walk across a stage and be recognized for their accomplishments.  We are proud of our new alumni and look forward to seeing them achieve great things.

Grady lawn renovation

When students return for fall semester, they will be welcomed to campus with an improved and expanded lawn upon which to study, socialize and relax. The transformation will take place thanks to a generous donation from the Schnitzer family, celebrating Lauren Schnitzer (AB ’21), who graduated last year with a bachelor’s degree in public relations.

The redesign will feature rolling grass hills, a new ADA accessible pathway and an outdoor classroom with seating, which will be accessible by way of a new staircase in place of the former gray wall.

We look forward to welcoming alumni back to our renovated space for Homecoming on Oct. 15.
