Georgia Women Give

What an exciting time to be a Georgia Bulldog and a Georgia Women Give donor! UGA had another fantastic fundraising year, and GWG played a significant role.

Let me begin by congratulating Allison C. Ausband—the newly elected chair of the UGA Foundation and a Georgia Women Give founding donor. I have no doubt that she will be an exceptional leader. Allison had this to say about her new role and GWG:

I am doubly honored to serve the UGA Foundation Board of Trustees and be a Georgia Women Give donor. I'm awestruck when I think of how quickly this group has grown and of the impact we will make. I'm deeply thankful for your incredible commitment, and I'm immensely proud of what we've accomplished and where we can go from here.

As of today, there are 75 Georgia Women Give donors who have committed a collective $1.85 million to our funds. Clearly, the message of Georgia Women Give continues to resonate, and that’s just so inspiring. How many more students can we help? How many more donors can we welcome into our community? How much stronger can we make this university?

With donors like you at our side, the sky is the limit.

Here are a few ways you can continue to engage with UGA this summer (all times EST):

  • August 2, 3:30-4:30 p.m.: UGA Mentor Program 101 Webinar
  • August 9, 12-1 p.m.: Engaging With Nature Series: Plant This not That (virtual event)
  • September 29, 6-9 p.m.: Women in the Workplace Mentorship Dinner

Natalie Navarrete didn’t know Russian when she came to Athens. Now, UGA's latest Rhodes Scholar has studied it around the globe.

New research from UGA suggests that representation of women in STEM is improved when more women are in STEM supervisory roles.

Be on the lookout for more info on a special on-campus event for Georgia Women Give founding donors this fall. We’ll visit the lab of Jenna Jambeck, Georgia Athletic Association Distinguished Professor of Environmental Engineering and 2022 MacArthur Fellow.

Finally, we're always looking to grow our group, so please contact us if you know other women who might be interested in joining Georgia Women Give. Thank you again for your generous support!
