Georgia Women Give

Georgia Women Give

Hello everyone!

Let me start by saying thank you to everyone who was able to make it to our on-campus event on March 23rd and 24th. What a fantastic time! Wonderful speakers, engaging tours, inspiring conversations: it was an outstanding gathering. Photos from the event are online for those looking to relive some of those great moments!

And not only was this event fun, it was productive. As we head into April, we have received 43 written or verbal commitments to Georgia Women Give funds. This is an incredible start given that our goal for GWG’s first year was 50 commitments! This is undeniable proof that Georgia Women are ready to be called upon and to answer in support of UGA. It also tells me that we can and should set our goal a little higher and push even harder!

Here’s a bonus for those who were unable to come to Athens. This video, of UGA students sharing dreams they realized because of UGA, was played during our Friday luncheon, and it was one of the most powerful moments of the event.

Our event was a culmination, but it was also a launchpad. There are so many wonderful moments in front of us, and so many opportunities to bring dreams to life. I’m thrilled to have you with us on this journey!
