Direct Marketing Efforts Revenue Dashboard

The Revenue Analytics tab was added to marketing efforts in FY23. Was your effort successful with Young Alumni, LYBUNTS, LAG donors, parents, etc.? What was the most popular designation? Should you repeat a similar effort next year? This tool can help you answer all of those questions and more!

Where can I find this report? Pull up your Marketing Effort > Revenue Analytics tab

* This report is specific to each marketing effort which is why you can only access it from within your marketing effort(s).

Special Giving Campaign Dashboard

The Special Giving Campaign dashboard analyzes revenue tagged with the Special Giving Campaign attribute, covering diverse direct marketing efforts and other transactions not strictly tied to marketing initiatives. It evaluates contributions associated with campaigns such as Giving Day, exploring donor demographics, geographic origins, and whether the campaign attracted new donors, reactivated previous contributors, or retained existing ones for a specific fiscal year. Additionally, it provides insights into the primary areas where constituents made donations and the average gift size. If you believe you have a campaign suitable for this type of tagging and reporting, please contact AskIT for further assistance.

Past Parent Constituency ?

In an effort to keep track of parents of former students, and not confuse them with parents of current students, a new Constituency has been created called 'Past Parent'. Over 200k records have already been tagged with this new constituency in GAIL. If you're wondering why a prospect may be showing up on your prospecting lists, this may be why!

Note: The existing "Parent" constituency is only active while the child is showing as a current UGA student in GAIL.

GAIL Access Request Form Changes?

The GAIL user access request form is undergoing some changes to make the process a little smoother and easier for our users and supervisors.

The new form will be initiated by the direct UGA supervisor (as recorded in OneSource) to request access for their new employee. Read more about it here, along with a preview of what the new form will look like.

This will remain an electronic DocuSign process.

Customizable BEE Email Templates

The DAR Office of Communications has newer, customizable templates in the BEE email template editor that can be tailored to your specific purpose! These templates work best if you stay as close to the template content as possible, but are flexible enough to handle many different use cases. Contact Buck, Maura or Allie from the digital team for any questions.

In Case You Missed It...

Check Your DME Seeds ?

Please remember to always check the Seeds in your Direct Marketing Efforts to ensure only the right staff will receive a copy of your mailing. Seeds are primarily used for including yourself and/or  your team members that would like to receive a copy of the mailer. Seeds are not linked to constituent records and override a person's communication preferences, and will not apply a communication tag. This article will show you how to add a Seed.

Know Someone Who Has Lost GAIL Access? ?

If you've changed positions, left and returned to UGA, or haven't used GAIL recently, you may have lost access. Click here to find out how to regain access. For newcomers to GAIL, click here for steps to take in getting access for the first time.

GAIL Class Schedules Posted through January 2024 ?

Please plan ahead with any new hires coming onboard between now and the end of December. With holidays coming up, we are having to squeeze the training grid a bit. Client Services schedule GAIL 101 classes at least 5 business days after the first, and middle, of every month so that MyID's, VPN, and ArchPass can be obtained as those are required in order to access GAIL.
