Greetings, GAIL Community! |
We are confident that you are aware of the Fiscal Year 2024 year-end closing schedule but it's important to also know how this impacts event registrations. Event registration batches submitted between June 30 and July 15 will not be processed until after close of books. You will need to refer to the "Pending Registrations" tab within your event to see information on newly registered invitees until batches can resume after July 15.
Additionally, be sure to update your Appeal and Source codes in your Marketing Efforts to reflect FY25 starting on July 1, 2024. If you need help with these tasks, you can reference articles or G-Wiz from the GAIL Resources page or reach out to someone on the Client Services team by submitting a ticket.

🎉Completely Online GAIL Classes🎉 |
We are thrilled to present a new completely online GAIL 101 training class option! The Client Services team has been working tirelessly the past 4+ months to get all new videos recorded and ready for deployment this summer. This was no small feat and we are super proud of this huge accomplishment, grand kudos to Mason & David! This new GAIL 101 online course will allow new staff to onboard quicker and at their pace starting on July 1, 2024. But wait, there's more! Soon we will also be offering completely online Events Management and Direct Marketing Efforts classes! Stay tuned!
Short quizzes have been built into each of these courses to ensure full completion and knowledge retention. These online courses will be available on the GAIL Resources page as usual, under Training, Register for a Class. Note: The requirements of having a UGA myid, access to the '02' restricted VPN and Archpass Duo Mobile are still necessary before classes can be taken. |
| 🎉Venmo & Paypal Giving Options🎉 |
We are excited to announce that on Friday, June 14, PayPal and Venmo were enabled as payment methods on our primary donation page: https://gail.uga.edu/commit. We have seen success with the new payment methods and are preparing to include them on all other donation pages. Please note the following important details: - Recurring Gifts: PayPal and Venmo are not currently supported for recurring donations.
- Event Registrations: Due to the complexity of issuing refunds via PayPal and Venmo, these payment methods will not be available for event registrations. This may be reconsidered in the future.
-
Implementation Schedule: The Advancement IT team will begin updating each donation page to include these new payment options starting the week of July 1. We anticipate this process will take several weeks to complete and the team will begin with our most active pages. You do not need to request this update for specific pages. However, if you have a planned fundraising effort in early July and desire these payment options be enabled on a specific page, please contact us at askit@uga.edu.
Additionally, starting Monday, June 24, all new donation pages will include the new payment methods at creation time.
If you have any questions or need further information, please contact Jeff Garmon (jeff.garmon@uga.edu). |

New Constituent Display Name Format and Certificate Constituency |
To more accurately reflect a constituent's relationship with UGA in the case that the person only has an educational record of type Certificate, we are changing the default UGA display name that appears at the top of the Constituent page. Previously, if someone had a completed certificate with UGA and no other degree attempted, they would appear with an 'm' suffix on the year of completion, which would seem to indicate that the person was a matriculate rather than giving any indication that a certificate had been earned. Now the completion year will have a 'c' suffix, like:
Dawg , Hairy 2020c
The default display name for alumni, current students, and true matriculates, will continue to appear as it does now. Click here

New Look for UGAF Policies & Procedures |
UGA Foundation’s policies and procedures have recently migrated to the TeamDynamix Knowledgebase. The new site can be accessed using the previous link: http://policies.dar.uga.edu. While policies have been reorganized to align with the Foundation’s current business practices, the content remains largely unchanged. Sorting may be adjusted over time based on user feedback. Please verify any bookmarks you save or share to ensure they point to the correct information. Foundation staff are actively updating links throughout the website to Knowledgebase. If you discover any outdated links, please email a screenshot to UGAFbusiness@uga.edu so they can be corrected.
The Foundation’s policies and procedures are just of the many valuable resources in DAR’s Knowledgebase. You may also explore additional topics by visiting http://know.dar.uga.edu. |
