Birthday Card Process

Are you using the Correspondence module in GAIL for your Birthday Cards process to send cards electronically? If you are, please reach out to Cindy Bond to ensure that your correspondence process gets updated appropriately to reflect an email mailing as opposed to regular postal mailing. Solicit and communication codes will be different based on the type of mailing you are sending.

Using Solicit Codes

We keep up with constituents who choose to opt out of receiving UGA communications through solicit codes. These codes are tagged under the Communications tab on a constituent’s profile. They can be as broad as Do Not Email, or as specific as Do Not Email from a particular s/c/u. We respect an individual’s solicit codes by applying the correct exclusions during the process of making a communication. If you’re stuck on how to add exclusions, there's more information here.

New Upgrades to Content Blocks in BEE

Drafting an email in BEE just got smoother thanks to new content block upgrades. The content blocks are the drag and drop elements you use to build your emails. We'll soon say goodbye to the Text content block, and hello to its replacement: the Paragraph content block. To find out how this can benefit your emails and make editing easier, click here.

ASKIT News!

We have partially begun the transition to our new helpdesk ticketing system to TeamDynamix. The change is already in effect for users requesting an Event Registration Setup. The next stage of the process will be for all Query/Selection/Reporting tickets. That step goes live next month. Get a glimpse of how the new process will look when you submit your next ticket.

New Event Registrant Analysis Report

We have a new report to announce that we believe you're going to love! This new report allows you to get a broad overview of the constituents that have registered for an event. Statistics that will be included are: age groups, years of recognition, total recognition, gender, degree area and constituency. Read up on all the details here.

Don't Forget an Email Teaser in BEE

It's safe to say people are reading emails now more than ever. That's why it's important to have yours stand out in the 'inbox' crowd. A simple email teaser can do just the trick. When creating emails in BEE, you want to replace the text that reads Email Teaser Goes Here with a snippet of what readers can expect in your email. This small step goes a long way and can ultimately make or break the open rate of your email. Find out what could happen if you fail to leave off an email teaser or delete that text box altogether.

Setting an Event Capacity in GAIL

One step of setting up an event in GAIL is to choose your event's location. While there are hundreds of venues on campus, in Athens, across the state and around the country already in GAIL, there may be a time where you will need to add a new location to the database. Learn how to correctly set the capacity limit of a venue added in GAIL.

You have the option of taking in-person or virtual/hybrid GAIL training classes. Class registration options can be found on the GAIL Resources page by clicking the button below.

Register for a Class

The GAIL Steering Committee is scheduled to meet on Wednesday, April 27, 2022. This will be a Zoom meeting. As always, if you have anything that you would like your s/c/u representative to share at the meeting, please reach out to them a few days ahead of time. Thank you!
