Crisis communication management course offered |
Registration is now open for our new executive education program in crisis communication and management. Launched in partnership with Terry College of Business, the program, titled “Empowering Leaders: How to Excel Through Crisis With Proven Strategies,” is designed to prepare business leaders and their teams to identify potential threats, manage the uncertainty of internal and external environments, and deploy crisis strategies to mitigate risk.
Through case studies, peer-to-peer learning and a simulation exercise, the program supplies participants with the knowledge, skills and efficacy to lead through crises, influence stakeholders, leverage resources and enhance business processes. Topics covered include business and strategic communication, law and risk management, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and media training.
The intensive one-day, in-person program will take place April 12, 8 am to 5:30 p.m., at the Terry Executive Education Center in Atlanta. |

Judy Sherling’s (ABJ ‘70) career path is a testament to the value and applicability of a degree from Grady College. Now the executive director of the Development Authority of the city of Jeffersonville and Twiggs County, Georgia, Sherling started her career in the 1970s by becoming one of the Athens Banner-Herald’s first female outside sales representatives.
Sherling, who spent time serving on the college's Advisory Board, gives back to the College through the High Five and Alumni Board Ex-PRIZE funds. Together, every dollar raised through these funds goes towards removing financial barriers to extracurricular learning, supporting experiential learning through internships and professional development, strengthening the student experience by enabling access to advanced technology and equipment, expanding student programing and more.
