Act quickly to take advantage of this year's IRA rollover: receive tax benefits and advance the mission of the University of Georgia.
Individuals 70 1/2 or older can transfer up to $100,000 directly from their IRA to one or more qualified charities, such as the University of Georgia Foundation, every year without paying income taxes on the distribution. If you have not taken your IRA distribution for the year, there is still time to transfer all or part of your distribution to the University of Georgia Foundation to accomplish your philanthropic goals.
To take advantage of the IRA Charitable Rollover in 2023, the direct transfer from your IRA to the University of Georgia Foundation needs to be completed by December 31, 2023.
Don’t forget, you can also make the University of Georgia Foundation beneficiary of your IRA. While your heirs must pay taxes on these types of gifts, the University of Georgia Foundation is a tax-exempt organization and can direct your entire contribution to an area on campus of your choosing.
Discover how you can save on taxes while fueling your passion through a charitable distribution. Let us show you how easy it is! Email us or call (706) 542-7959 to learn more.
