March was action-packed and I cannot thank you all enough for the hard work, which launched us past $200 million in Q3 for only the third time in UGA history. We hosted Georgia Women Give donors in Athens, we inspired thousands of supporters to participate in a record-breaking Dawg Day of Giving, and we learned more about dashboards from Advancement IT and the School of Medicine from Dean Shelley Nuss. And that just scratches the surface. For those taking time for local spring breaks, please enjoy some R&R. And thank you all in advance for your hard work as we finish FY24 strong! |

Suzy and Ron Deering recently met their Georgia Commitment Scholarship recipient thanks to Caitlin Lacey and Graff Wilson arranging the meeting, Siara Abdulla working with Suzy on her giving plans, Jennifer Hancock and Erica Owensby
for executing the GCS fund agreement, and to the leadership of Brittany Rider. A true team effort! The Deerings are PLC and Magill Society members, and GCS donors. Suzy is also a Georgia Women Give founding donor.

Debbie Daniel in the Morehead Honors College kindly informed colleague Suzanne Griffeth in FACS about the recent promotion of alumnus Jeremy Burch. Suzanne used that information to send a special "FACS Congrats Card" that was signed by Dean Z and others in the office. You can see Jeremy's reaction here, which reflects a new engagement opportunity for this alumnus. Great collaboration, Debbie and Suzanne!

LaRisa Chambers and Sarah Baines
collaborated on a $50k gift from Susanna Mesa of Malibu, California, to establish a graduate fellowship in SPIA that will be matched 1:1 by the UGA Foundation. The fellowship will focus on advancing women in public service and politics, which reflects one of Dean Auer's top priorities. This is Susanna's second major gift to SPIA; her first helps students with financial need participate in internships in D.C. and elsewhere. She is the SVP for Strategy & Operations at Prothena Corporation and serves on SPIA's Board of Advisors. She will host a lunch for Malibu-area alumnae in April and a second event at her home in Montana this summer — she just keeps on giving! Great job, LaRisa and Sarah!
