Madelyn Jackson (BSA - Biological Science, '12) was originally a pre-med major when she joined the Peace Corps as a community health educator in Paraguay.
During her two and a half years in the remote village of Tañarandy, she solidified her life’s passion: helping people improve their health.
Today, Jackson works as a human resources professional helping more than 50,000 employees lead healthier lives by designing and implementing programs focused on financial well-being. |

CAES Student Welcome Back Events |

CAES launched the 2025 academic year with two amazing student-centered events supported by the incredible CAES alumni volunteers: the Ag Dawg Kickoff in Athens with over 600 students and faculty in attendance and the Ag Dawg Welcome Back in Tifton with nearly 100 students and faculty. These events weren’t just celebrations—they were a testament to the power of alumni engagement and support.

There are many ways to advance the student experience at CAES. The CAES Non-Endowed Student Scholarship Fund allows generous supporters of CAES to give at any level and collectively fund student scholarships. Together, our impact can go farther to help support CAES students. |

Commemorate your graduating student's time at CAES with a brick at Four Towers! The brick walkway in front of Four Towers welcomes alumni, students and friends to the CAES Student Activity Center, which also houses the Georgia Agricultural Hall of Fame.
Orders placed by October 31 ensure your brick will be installed prior to December commencement ceremonies. |

Intros and Appetizers is a low pressure, high energy student and alumni/industry professional networking event. This is a great opportunity for students to seek advice and mentorship from alumni and friends of CAES. Space is limited to 50 students and 25 alumni and friends of CAES. Refreshments will be provided. Dress is business casual. |

This year's J.W. Fanning Lecture will feature Dr. Richard Sexton, Distinguished Professor Emeritus from the University of California Davis, whose topic is “Feeding the World in the 21st Century: The Challenges that Lie Ahead”.
The event will take place at the UGA Tate Student Center Reception Hall on the first floor. A reception will be held at 11:00 a.m. followed by the lecture at 11:30 a.m. |
