Cultivate: Phillip Brannen

"Pathogens are not forgiving, so if I have been able to help producers in their decisions so that they can survive, feed their families and feed the world with their produce, that is a worthwhile endeavor for me," said Phillip Brannen (BSA - Plant Protection and Pest Management, ’83; MS - Plant Pathology, ’87).

"Farming is a tough career, and one or two mistakes can make the difference between making it or not."

Three students standing at the UGArden table at Ag Dawg Kickoff

Ag Dawg Kickoff served more than 700 CAES students, 75 faculty and staff, and 40 volunteers on all three campuses.

Sponsors as well as alumni and friend support has made it possible for this event to grow each year to welcome more students, faculty and staff back to campus. Thank you for supporting this experience!
