Hurricane Helene Relief
CAES and UGA Extension are fully engaged in supporting recovery efforts and damage assessments. CAES Dean & Director Nick T. Place has been on the ground with UGA Extension specialists and agents, state partners, Governor Brian P. Kemp, and the Georgia Department of Agriculture to assess the damage around the state. Georgia’s leading ag organizations, CAES included, have joined together to promote an effort to preserve Georgia’s family farms through the Weathered But Strong Relief Fund. 100 percent of donations to this fund will directly support Georgia farmers in need. |

D.W. Brooks Lecture and Awards
The D.W. Brooks Lecture and Awards are named for a Georgian whose contributions to agriculture are respected worldwide. An alumnus of the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES), D.W. Brooks devoted his career to improving lives through innovations in agriculture. This year's winner is Krysta Harden, former United States Deputy Secretary of Agriculture and current president and CEO of the U.S. Dairy Export Council. Read more about Krysta here.

Spotlight: Caroline Hinton
CAES alumna and Director of Experiential Learning, Caroline Hinton (BSA '19, BSA '19, MAEE '21), helps CAES students connect with experiencial learning opportunities and supports them in their career exploration.
“Through my experience as a student here, I fell in love with the college, the industry that it serves and the citizens that it produces after graduation,” Hinton said. “I always thought that I would come through, graduate and move on to something else, but it’s been the perfect place for me to give back to a lot of those experiences that I had as a student.”

Fall graduation is right around the corner, and now is the time to celebrate the CAES graduate in your life by buying a commemorative brick!
The brick walkway in front of Four Towers welcomes alumni, students and friends to the CAES Student Activity Center, which also houses the Georgia Agricultural Hall of Fame.
