Rachel Kinsaul (BSA ’09, MAL ’11) has been named a 2024–25 Milken Educator Award recipient — an honor widely recognized as the nation’s preeminent award for K–12 teachers. A leader in agricultural education, Kinsaul teaches agricultural science at Morgan County High School in Madison, Georgia, where her innovative, hands-on programs have redefined how students experience the agricultural sciences. |

Robin Buell named to National Academy of Sciences |
|

|
Robin Buell, Georgia Research Alliance Eminent Scholar Chair in Crop Genomics at CAES, has been elected to the National Academy of Sciences (NAS). Members are elected to NAS in recognition of their distinguished and continuing achievements in original research. Membership is a widely accepted mark of excellence in science and is considered one of the highest honors a scientist can receive.
"Dr. Buell has long been a highly respected member of the scientific community, and her election to the National Academy of Sciences is a well-deserved recognition of the innovative work she has done in plant genomics over the course of her career,” said CAES Dean and Director Nick T. Place.

The Deans' Promise Fund was established to provide CAES students with experiences outside the classroom including, but not limited to, international travel, service learning, internships and fellowships.
During the 2024 academic year, 213 CAES students were able to participate in study abroad programs. Help ensure that CAES students are able to participate in study abroad and other experiential learning opportunities in the 2025-2026 academic year! |
