| Angela Dupree (BSEH ’92) graduated with a bachelor’s degree in environmental health and a minor in environmental soil science and serves as the Food Safety and Quality Manager at Ferrero Bakery in Augusta, Georgia.
"I’ve always enjoyed getting a behind-the-scenes look at the process of making a safe and quality food product. I also have the opportunity to do some traveling with my current role. I’ve been able to visit several states and Europe through my work." when asked about her favorite part of her job.

Andres Villegas: He Speaks for the Trees |

|
For more than 25 years, Andres Villegas (BSA ’98) has dedicated his career to promoting agriculture and the healthy, sustainable management of forests. Villegas’ career has taken him around the world and back, working in international trade for the Georgia Department of Agriculture, where he helped open exports of poultry to Cuba and pecans to Asia. He eventually transitioned to the private sector and was hired by the Langdale Company, a large timber producer in Valdosta, as its vice president of international sales, domestic marketing, and government affairs.

We are Calling all #AgDawgs for the University of Georgia’s Dawg Day of Giving! Any gift made now through March 27 at the link below to a CAES fund counts!
CAES asks you to consider making a gift to the Deans' Promise fund, which provides support to CAES students for experiences outside the classroom including, but not limited to, international travel, service learning, internships and fellowships. When 350 gifts are made to the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, $5,000 will be unlocked, donated by a friend of the college, Susan Stephens. |

The Woodroof Lecture is an annual series named in honor of Dr. J.G. Woodroof and brings a preeminent leader in food research, education, industry or policy to speak with the university community. This year’s speaker, Dr. Linda J. Harris, is a Distinguished Professor of Cooperative Extension at the University of California Davis, and Co-PI for Western Center for Food Safety, one of four centers of excellence supported by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
