Connect

Alum Chris Chammoun and student Michael Harris

January is National Mentor Month, and we are celebrating the meaningful impact of mentorship by highlighting some of our CAES mentors and mentees. Thanks to CAES alumnus Chris Chammoun (BSA '08) for connecting with current CAES student and ambassador Michael Howard. The UGA Mentor Program connects students to alumni through an online platform so you can mentor from anywhere! Learn more and sign up at mentor.uga.edu.

CAES Rural Scholars

"The third round of students recruited through the CAES Rural Scholars Program includes Jay Lavender of Statham, Georgia; Jane Ashley Rowell of Douglas, Georgia; and Willow Waldrep of Forsyth, Georgia. Launched in 2020, the program was the vision of Keith Kelly, a 1980 CAES graduate and founder, president and CEO of Kelly Products; his wife, Pam Kelly; and 1983 CAES alumnus Robert Varnedoe."
