Revised with updated links to job post for IHE faculty position ENGAGE - CONNECT - ADVANCE - LEAD IHE ALUMNI NEWSLETTER
MARCH 2021 Dear IHE graduates and friends, We lost a great champion earlier this month with the passing of Dr. Louise McBee. Dr. McBee served as a senior administrator at UGA for many years before her election to the Georgia General Assembly. In addition to the professorship created in her honor, we benefited from her support of the Governor's Teaching Fellows program. I invite each of you to read the UGA Today article on her career in and support of higher education in Georgia.
As we send this out, the Institute community also mourns the passing of former director Del Dunn and Marcel Fincher, daughter of long-time IHE director Cameron Fincher. We truly have benefited from inspirational leadership throughout our history.
As we build on this legacy, we invite your assistance in recruiting candidates for our new assistant professor position and for a talented and diverse cadre of GCAC advisers. Please forward this email or specific links below to your colleagues.
