 More than 50 graduates, students, and faculty participated in a conversation with EdTrust leaders

We celebrated our unusual 55th anniversary this year by launching two new online series.

 

The IHE Zoomtables leverage our strong faculty, alumni and student expertise and convene around critical, immediate topics to share and collaborate through the varied and daunting higher education impacts of the pandemic.

 

The Critical Perspectives on Race series brings leading external professionals in higher education policy and research to our community for conversations focused on improving diversity and equity on our campuses.

 

Upcoming event:

 

February 8- The Campus Color Line: College Presidents and the Struggle for Black Freedom  Higher education scholar Dr. Eddie R. Cole discusses the research behind and implications of his best-selling book, The Campus Color Line.

Five members of the IHE community graduated in summer or fall. The December ceremony will be held virtually this Friday.

  • Joshua Patterson (PhD) - completing a grant with the Interfaith Diversity Experiences and Attitudes Longitudinal Survey that explores organizational decision making at the intersection of religion and higher education
     
  • Adrianna Gonzalez (MEd) - graduate assistant for Learning and Development in the University of Georgia's Office of Institutional Diversity

  • Julia Butler-Mayes (PhD) - director of Academic Advising Services at the University of Georgia

  • Keith Allen (MEd) - coordinator of academic coaching in the University of Georgia's Division of Academic Enhancement

  • Nathan Moore (PhD) - postdoctoral fellow serving in the Office of the President at the University of Georgia.
