As DAR seeks to inspire a culture of philanthropic commitment to Georgia, Giving Day and Thank a Donor Day are evolving into Dawg Day of Giving and Dawg Day of Gratitude.
Dawg Day of Giving is building on the culture of philanthropy from our past giving day and giving weeks. Dawg Day of Gratitude strengthens the connection between students and campus partners as we collectively show appreciation to thank donors. Together, these initiatives help drive our DAR goals of Collaboration, Engagement and Philanthropy. The Dawg Day of co-branding allows us to align messaging and resources for the two initiatives while creating efficient outreach with support from DARCOMM. More information to come on both Dawg Day of Giving and Dawg Day of Gratitude.

This fall, small groups of colleagues formed "Huddles" to increase communication, collaboration and innovation around a few areas of strategic focus as the division heads into FY24 budget planning. DAR huddle leaders met on December 5 and 20 to present and discuss findings from these collaborative groups. The meetings aimed to inspire innovation and lay a foundation for ongoing collaborative conversation around DAR’s strategic areas of focus. Some of the initiatives presented have already been implemented while others will influence planning for FY24 and beyond. The huddles found overlapping themes around the need for enhanced data analysis and reporting, division-wide event coordination and engagement with students and young philanthropists. Area of Strategic Focus: Geographic - Huddle 1: New York - Alysse Capitanelli
- Huddle 2: Atlanta - Elizabeth Elmore
-
Huddle 3: Georgia Coast - Matt Mize
Area of Strategic Focus: Pipeline -
Huddle 4: Transition students to engaged alumni; engage alumni within the first 10 years of graduation - Heather Duiser
- Huddle 5: Upgrade donors who show potential for major gift behavior - Adam Prescott

New Alumni Brand Video
The Alumni brand narrative has been revamped since it was first rolled out a few years ago. Of course, this called for a fresh brand video that leverages footage gathered in New York City and the Georgia coast. |
