Finding your alumni (and donors, parents, and anyone else) in GAIL

Finding your alumni (and donors, parents, and anyone else) in GAIL

If part of your planning process for mailings, events, or travel is to first see where your constituents live, GAIL has a tool for you! That’s right! The constituent density map will show you where your constituents live based on their primary address. All you need to do is ask for a selection at askit@uga.edu.

How do I use the Constituent Density Map?

Step 1

Once you have the selection name, navigate to the marketing and communications tab. Select constituent density map under planning and other tasks.

Step 2

This will direct you to a map. Select add in the upper right-hand corner of the page.

Step 3

A pop up will appear. Type the name of your selection. Click search then select once your selection appears.

Step 4

The resulting map will show you where your constituents are. It may take a few minutes to appear. If you have a large selection, and you may need to toggle the zoom in and out to get your results.

Zoom in to see cities and states. Zoom out to see constituents around the globe.
This mapping tool won’t give you exact addresses but will give you a useful idea of where to concentrate your efforts. With this in mind, you’ll be able to maximize efficiency as you ask for selections and prospecting lists.

If you have any questions, please send a ticket to askit@uga.edu or email Olivia Engesser (engesser@uga.edu).
