By popular demand – a new Search tool has been added to GAIL – this tool will be useful for anyone wishing to filter search results by College/School, Degree, Degree Area, or Primary Class Year.

From the Constituents Functional Area page, click on Constituent custom search.

#1 – Last Name + College/School

For example, if you wanted to find a person with the last name “Benson” that graduated from the Terry College of Business, you would key in the fields outlined below to conduct your search:

***Be Aware***

If you are looking at one person’s information in the “Results” box, please note that the Primary Class Year will always only be reflective of that person’s true preferred class year – this will not indicate the graduation year for each individual degree achievement!  From the example below, you can see the 2011 is the Primary Class Year for both results on the same person, it does not mean that this person graduated in 2011 with BSED and MED degrees, only that the 2011 graduation date goes along with the primary degree received.

#2 – Last Name + College/School + Degree

If you wanted to further limit your results of people with last name of “Benson”, you can add a Degree, for example:  BSC-Bachelor of Science in Commerce.

#3 – Last Name + Degree Area

And an example for filtering by Degree Area – if you choose to see all persons with last name of “Benson” with a Degree Area of “Evening MBA”, you would see these results:

#4 – Last Name + Primary Class Year

One last example is if you’re searching for people with the last name “Benson” who graduated from any college/school with a Primary Class Year of 2011, you would simply conduct the following search:
