CVM Alumni Weekend Recap!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Alumni Weekend this year! It was so wonderful seeing your smiles as you gathered, reconnected, and reminisced with fellow classmates about days gone by here at UGA's College of Veterinary Medicine.
With over 300 attendees, the weekend featured an Alumni Awards lunch, Fraternity Socials, a 50th Class celebration lunch, a tour of the new Anatomy Lab, and a reception with Hairy Dawg to cap off the weekend's festivities.
Six alumni were honored for their outstanding contributions and achievements:
- Young Achiever Award: Dr. Annie Page-Karjian (BS '07, DVM '11, PhD '15)
- Dean's Distinguished Service Award: Dr. Bruce Williams (DVM '85)
- Distinguished Graduate Award: Dr. Claire Andreasen (MS '87, PhD '90)
- Distinguished Alumni Awards: Dr. Jane White DVM ('78), Dr. Fred Gent DVM ('79), and Dr. Todd Lavender (BS '87 DVM '90)
For those unable to make the trip back home to Athens, we hope the pictures below will encourage you to join in on the fun with us next year, March 10-11th! {?: Class of 2002}
75 Years of Veterinary Excellence Continues Today!
Below is a current snapshot of our reunion giving numbers, but there’s still time to make your reunion gift! With your support we will create new study spaces for students in the Anatomy Lab Breezeway, preparing the next generation of veterinarians to put their passion to work making a difference in the lives of animals and people.
